Customer Service Representative

Description:Florida Tile is one of the nation’s leading tile manufacturers and distributors. Florida Tile was acquired by Panariagroup, one of Europe’s largest tile manufacturers and distributors. Panariagroup has invested in plant expansion, new branch openings, and existing branch relocations to strengthen and grow Florida Tile’s share of the US tile market.

Our Charlotte, North Carolina branch is looking for a Customer Service Representative who is a multi-tasker and enjoys variety. Daily responsibilities include invoicing, inventory, greeting customers at the customer service, answering phones, in-person inquiries regarding product availability and pricing, placing special orders, processing customer sales transactions, and preparing customer shipments. This full-time position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, ability to maintain good customer relations, familiarity with basic math, and computerized sales and order processing. Experience in the building materials, floor coverings, construction, or remodeling industries is preferred.

We offer a Mon-Fri schedule, competitive salary, and benefits after 90 days. Drug test and background check required.

Duties:Operations
• Accurately perform order entry process, to include product, quantity and price verification
• Confirm orders placed by customers via phone/fax/internet
• Perform stock and price checks for customers and other branches
• Provide freight/shipment information (cost/tracking/etc) to customers/branches in a timely and accurate manner
• Apply freight and handling expenses to orders so as to be able to effectively invoice customers for related expenses
• Regularly follow up with customers as to the status of their order(s)
• Make collection (A/R) calls/contacts as directed by ABM/BM
• Perform other daily tasks as directed by ABM/BM
Sales Related Responsibilities
• Promote add-on sales at the time of order entry via the promotion of sundries and other related items
• Assist trade and showroom customers in the selection of products
• Acquire a high level of product knowledge about the company’s products and be able to effectively respond to inquiries as they relate to the recommend (or restricted) use.
• Maintain the CSR work area in an organized manner that is conducive to sales and service
• Provide support to the OSR/BCSS and Design Sales Consultant in the performance of their duties. Assist as directed by ABM/BM
• Performs other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environment.

Qualifications:• At least two years of customer service or inventory experience
• Time Management: the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities at once
• Customer service experience with a manufacturer of building products preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•AS400 software experience, CMS experiences a plus
• Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Team player with commitment to company values
• Experience in the building materials, floor coverings, construction, or remodeling industries is preferred
• Forklift experience is a plus
